With today's youth culture changing at a rapid-fire pace, we know how important it is to stay up-to-date on what's happening in the world of children and teens.  In order to help you stay current on youth culture trends and developments, the Center for Parent/Youth Understanding offers a bi-weekly e-mail resource that's absolutely free.

Twice a month, the CPYU Youth Culture e-Update offers a summary of interesting and helpful youth culture trends, web links to studies and articles, quotes from pop culture figures, lyrics to songs, and a discussion starter image from popular teen magazines--all chosen to help you understand the children and teens you know and love.

There are two ways to view the CPYU Youth Culture e-Update. You can either view it here from this page (in either Word, .pdf format, or the .html (web page) version), or you can subscribe and receive it in your email twice a month. We are making both of these methods available since we are finding that more and more of you are behind firewalls or are using various content and/or spam filters. If you have filters on your email, please make sure you have it set-up to accept email from the cpyu.org domain. Also, we are finding that many ISPs have instituted stronger anti-spam policies which are preventing the e-Update to get to many of you. If you find that you are not receiving the e-Update, please let us know at youthculture@cpyu.org.

Every time we release a new e-Update we will announce it on our home page. However, if you choose to subscribe, this will also allow you to receive other important emails from us regarding VCR Alerts, upcoming events, and special offers.

Youth Culture e-Update Archive 3

The third edition of the "CPYU Youth Culture e-Update" archive is now available for a suggested contribution of $12, which includes shipping and handling. The CD contains the following contents from the first 75 "CPYU e-Updates", dated November 15, 2001 through April 11, 2005:

  • All 75 individual "CPYU e-Update" files in pdf format.
  • All "Stats & Trends", "Pop Culture Quotes", and "Walt's Commentaries" compiled in ONE searchable (most recent to oldest) pdf file.
  • 74 high-resolution, presentation quality images. The e-mail version contains a low-resolution (72 dpi) image.
  • Lyrics pdf file
  • Links pdf file

 

The "CPYU e-Update: Archive 3" is available for a suggested contribution of $12 and can be obtained from the CPYU Resource Center.
