Inside the Online World of Teens Seminar

CPYU also offers seminars on how teens use the Internet and what adults and parents need to know about the online activities and behavior of their children, including potential dangers they may be exposed to. Among the issues addressed:

  • Blogging
  • Social networking
  • Cyber-bullying
  • Why this type of Internet activity is so popular among our children
  • Examples of some of the most popular blogging sites (xanga.com, myspace.com)
  • Internet Safety tips to teach to our teens and kids

These special interactive Internet seminars are presented by Ken Mueller, CPYU’s Director of Media Resources.  See a video of Ken being interviewed about the online world of teens. It is preferable if the host site has either high speed or wireless internet access with any filters removed for the presentation.

 

(This presentation can be presented in faith-based settings.  We also adapt the presentation so that it can be presented in public school settings before groups such as parents, faculty, and administrators.)
